Mary Helen Ponder Schofield

Mrs. Mary Helen Ponder Schofield, age 83, of Waverly, TN, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014, in the Humphreys County Nursing Home in Waverly. Mrs. Schofield was born July 27, 1930, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Amos Ambrose and Maggie Mae Ingram Ponder. She was married to Max Daniel Schofield of Waverly. Mrs. Schofield was a retired Supervisor for Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Michigan. She was a member of Waverly Church of Christ. Visitation with the family will be Friday, March 14, 2014, from 4-8 p.m., and Saturday, March 15, 2014, from 11 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Bro. Jeff Keele will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the James Cemetery in McEwen, TN.
