E. Horace Deck

Mr. E. Horace Deck, age 84, of McEwen, TN, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, in Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, TN. Mr. Deck was born May 26, 1929, in McEwen, TN, to Walter Vernon and Gertrude Stewart Deck. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran. He was a retired Brakeman for the Santa Fe Railroad in Arizona. Mr. Deck was a 32nd Degree Master Mason, Shriner, and a member of the Clown Corps. He was an avid dog lover and gardner, having grown beautiful roses in his gardens. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, May 8, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. with Masonic Rites at 7 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN. Friday, May 9, 2014, visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral service time at 11 a.m., at the Luff-Bowen Chapel in McEwen, with Rev. David Deavers officiating. Interment will follow in the McEwen Cemetery in McEwen, TN.
