Billie Jo Hagler Snyder

Mrs. Billie Jo Snyder, age 82, of Waverly, TN, passed away Sunday August 10, 2014, surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren. The private funeral for family members only was held Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at 3:00 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Rev. Paul Moody and Dr. Richard Bray officiated the service. Burial immediately followed the service in the Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN. She was born August 22, 1931, in Erin, TN, daughter of Irvin and Ruth Hagler. Billie Jo grew up in Erin, TN, graduated from Houston County High School in 1949, and has resided in Waverly, TN for 41 years. She was a devoted wife and mother to her husband and children. She was married to Donald Charles Snyder for 62 years and they had 5 children, Mitch Snyder (Martha), Mike Snyder, Tracy Snyder (Teresa), Pam Heaton, and Donna Reese (Bill). She leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, her dearest friend, and remaining sister, Geraldine Lashlee (Melville), of Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Irvin and Ruth Hagler, her sisters, Mary Brigham and Janet Spencer, brother, Buddy Hagler, and son-in-law, Dennis Heaton. Pallbearers will be Mitch Snyder, Mike Snyder, Tracy Snyder, Justin Snyder, Nathan Snyder, Carter Reese, Bill Reese, and Trent Snyder.
