Thomas "Phil" Plant passed away peacefully on April 8, 2015, surrounded by Susie, his loving wife of fifty-five years, and children, Phil and Candy. Phil was born on April 22, 1935 in Denver, Tennessee, to Joe and Irene Plant. Phil was one of the two Plant children born in the original old Plant House in the Plant Community. The second oldest of fifteen children, his "love of family" defined his life. A thirty-five year employee with Colonial Pipeline, Phil resided in Brentwood, Tennessee, where he enjoyed life with Susie, Phil, Candy, and his beloved grandson, Jaxon. Visitation will take place April 11, from 11:00-12:30, followed by a service at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home, Waverly,Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial donation be considered to "Abe's Garden: Alzheimer's and Memory Care Center of Excellence," 115 Woodmont Blvd, Nashville,Tennessee, 37205.
