Mrs. Dorothy Christine Doughten Davis, age 91, of McEwen, TN, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015, in the Humphreys County Nursing Home in Waverly, TN. Mrs. Davis was born August 25, 1923, in Waverly, TN, to Albert Elmore and Pearl Joanna Sanders Doughten. She was married to William James "W. J." Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of McEwen Church of Christ. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, May 31, 2015, from 10 a.m. until funeral service time at 3 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Bro. Jim Suddeath and Bro. Hoby Grace will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Doughten-Long-Pickard Cemetery in McEwen, TN. Active pallbearers will be Tim Durham, Todd Collins, Randy Woods, Wade Hawthorne, Chad Durham, and Kenny Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Collins, Austin Woods, and Jaydee Franklin.
