Richard "Ricky" Wayne Smith

Mr. Richard Wayne "Ricky" Smith, age 68, of Waverly, TN, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Nashville, TN. Mr. Smith was born October 16, 1946, in Waverly, TN, to Leonard Ewell and Goldie Sawyer Smith. He was married to Deborah "Debbie" Louise Harvey Smith. He was a member of the Glenwood Church of Christ in Waverly, TN. He was a verteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. Ricky was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for Hughey Construction Company in Waverly. The family has chosen cremation. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015, at the Harvey Cemetery, 51 Harvey Lane, McEwen, TN.
