Roy Dewayne "Bear" Wanamaker

Mr. Roy Dewayne "Bear" Wanamaker, age 67, of McEwen, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at his home. Mr. Wanamaker was born June 3, 1948, in Waverly, TN, to Kenneth Eugene and Vertha Novella Wanamaker. He was married to Mary Frances Christian Wanamaker. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in McEwen, TN. He was a McEwen High School Class of 1966 Alumni. Mr. Wanamaker was a retired Construction Superintendent. He was an avid reader and antique glass collector. He enjoyed watching westerns, football games, and the History Channel on television. Visitation with the family will be Friday, October 30, 2015, from 2:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen. The family has chosen cremation after the visitation. Burial of cremains will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in McEwen by the family members.
