Shirley Ann Vines Mercer

Mrs. Shirley Ann Vines Mercer, age 74, of New Johnsonville, TN, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015, at North Fulton Hospital in Alpharetta, GA. Mrs. Mercer was born April 10, 1941, in Woodville, Mississippi, to Gordon D. and Clara Helen Nettles Vines. She was married to Arthur Mercer. She was a homemaker and a member of the Camden Assembly of God. Shirley loved visiting with her grandchildren, traveling, and she was an avid reader. She always saw the best in everyone. Shirley fought a courageous battle with cancer for 2 years. She started the website "The Netterville Family Group and was a member of "Girlfriends Coffee Hour Prayer Group." Two favorite quotes of Shirley's:  1) "Attack life, it's going to kill you!" and "Learn from yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow."Visitation with the family will be Saturday, November 28, 2015, from 11 a.m. until funeral service time at 2:30 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Bro Marcus Vine will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in New Johnsonville, TN, with Rev.
