Juanita "Nita" Fowlkes

Mrs. Juanita "Nita" Stewart Fowlkes. age 86, of Waverly, TN, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. Mrs. Fowlkes was born October 20, 1930, in Waverly, TN, to Arthur Jennings and Gladys Bryant Stewart. She was married to Joe Fowlkes, Sr. She was a Retired Office Manager for Vaughn Contractors and a Charter member of Waverly Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Where she served as an Organist, Pianist, Elder, Sunday School teacher, and member of Cumberland Presbyterian Women. Mrs.Fowlkes was also a member of the Waverly Chapter of the Eastern Star, Humphreys County Election Officer, and a Volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Mobile. She enjoyed working outdoors. She was also know for loving and spending time with her family. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m until service time. Funeral service for Mrs. Fowlkes will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly conducted by Reverend Ronnie Brewer.
