Dr. Louis T. Anderson, III, retired Veterinarian, from Waverly, TN, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018, at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly. Dr. Anderson was born July 8, 1941, in Meridian, MS, to Louis T. Anderson, II and Mildred Hummer Anderson. He was married to Ruth Patterson Anderson. He lived in Humphreys County for 49 years. He was a Deacon and member of First Baptist Church of Waverly. Dr. Anderson was a former City of Waverly Councilman, County Commissioner for Humphreys County, member of Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative Board, 21st Century Educational Foundation, past President of Tennessee Veterinary Association, past member of the Political Action Committee of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 4-8 p.m., and Thursday, January 25, 2018, from 9 a.m. until funeral service time at 11 a.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Dr. Scott Brown will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN.
