Betty Ann Rogers

Betty Ann Rogers, age 81, of McEwen, TN passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Humphreys County Care and Rehab in Waverly, TN. Betty was born on June 24, 1941 in Dover, ME to the late Drummond and Margaret Earley. Betty graduated from Foxcroft Academy in Dover, ME and attended Husson College in Bangor, ME, where she met the love of her life, Peter J. Rogers. Betty retired from the Humphrey County Sheriff’s office after 27 years of service. She will be remembered by her family as their beloved mom, “mammie” and grandmammie.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michelle Griffith, Karen Curtis (Terry), Wendy Linville (John), Julie Montemurno (John), Lora Sanderson (Stacy) and Pete Rogers II (Patty); grandchildren, Melissa, Jason, Chris, Phillip, Andrea, Nathan, Joshua, Margaret, Maise, Gabriel, Kathleen, P.J., Autumn and Morgan; great grandchildren, Brady, Natalie, Ryan, Mallory, Gavin, Sloan, Piper, Wesley, Faith and Otto. She is also survived by her siblings, Mina Shaw of Dover, ME; Janet Forrester of Bainbridge, GA; Robert Earley of Dover, ME and Linda Parent of Corinth, ME.

Along with her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Peter J. Rogers I; her infant son; brother, Drummond “Bud” Earley Jr. and son-in-law, Terry Griffith.

There will be an interment at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Bangor, ME.
