Bettye Delores Dotson

Mrs. Bettye Delores Dotson, age 80 of McEwen, TN passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Three Rivers Hospital. She was born on October 31, 1942 in Carlisle, TN to the late Robert and Lola Steeley. Bettye was a devoted Christian woman who owned 5 restaurants. She was a restaurant owner for over 50 years. Bettye and her husband raised Tennessee Walking Horses. She enjoyed playing piano, singing and farm animals.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 24 years, Ned Dotson of McEwen, TN; daughter, Joy Robertson (Jerry) of Charlotte, TN; sons, Jamie Burns (Katrina) of Thompson Station, TN and Justin Burns (Chelsea) of Hendersonville, TN; step daughter, Judy Dotson of Dickson, TN; 6 grandchildren, Nicki (Clint), Nathan (Annie), Judd, Riley, Mason and Madeline; 2 great grandchildren, Lacie and Katy; sister, Rebecca Campbell; and brother, John Steeley (Ann).

Along with her parents, Bettye is preceded in death by her siblings, Sammy Steeley, Lorene Lehman, Jesse Steeley and Joyce Atkins.

 A visitation for Mrs. Bettye will be on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 2:00 P.M. at the Luff-Bowen McEwen Chapel. Interment to follow at Dotson Cemetery in McEwen, TN.
