Candace Gayle Breeden Woods

Candace Gayle Breeden Woods, age 81, of Hurricane Mills, TN, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024. She was born in New Johnsonville, TN on December 5, 1942, to the late Annie Margaret Breeden and Henry Edward Breeden. Candace attended the Lobelville Methodist Church. She was the treasurer of the Buffalo FCE Club for several years. Candace was an outdoorswoman. She was known for cleaning the roadsides in Hurricane Mills. She would cover 3 – 5 miles a day. Candace enjoyed basket making, crocheting and cruise ins with her husband.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 63 years, Eddie Woods; sisters, Phyllis McIllwain (Wayne) of Waverly, TN, Gladys Mitchell of McEwen, TN; Belinda Craig (Ted) of Hollow Rock, TN and Debbie Stribling of Murfreesboro, TN; numerous nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law, Barbara Breeden and Cheryl Eden.

Along with her parents, Candace is preceded in death by her son, Michael Ray Woods; brothers, Eddie and Phillip Breeden.
