Gary Lynn Brooks, Sr., age 66 of Waverly, TN passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Gary was born in Jackson, TN on September 21, 1957, to Doris Naramore and Roy Brooks. He was big hearted, caring family man and an avid fisherman.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 19 years, Debbie Carter Sherrod Brooks of Waverly, TN; sons, Gary Brooks of Waverly, Sean Brooks of Waverly, and Brody Sherrod (Heather) of Mt. Pleasant, TN; grandchildren, Allanna Brooks (Maddi), Kaylie Brooks (Kaden Hamm), Joanna Brooks, Dominic Brooks, Kyrah Brooks, Ashtynne Brooks, Devin Brooks (Jacie), Aiden Brooks, Grace Brooks, Giulianna Sherrod, Amelia Sherrod, Gracie Estep and Eleanor Houston; 2 great-grandchildren, Kingston and Sawyer Brooks; mother, Doris Naramore (James), sisters, Cathey Pickler and Sandy Henry; numerous nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Connie Brown (Jim) and his French Bull dog, Sassie Ann.
Gary is preceded in death by his father, Roy Brooks.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Richlawn Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Summer Page and Andy VanDyke.
Flowers will be accepted at the graveside service or you can make a donation to the Lung & Cancer Organization in memory of Gary.Arrangements are entrusted to Luff-Bowen Funeral Home
