Gerald Thomas Taylor

Gerald Thomas Taylor, age 95 of Waverly, TN passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at AHC in Waverly, TN. Gerald was born on August 15, 1927 in Weakley Co., TN to the late Lola and Carlos Taylor. Gerald served his Country in the U.S Navy. He served in World War II. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and also was a Master Mason since 1955. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 76 years, Betty Taylor of Waverly, TN; daughter, Linda Poyner (Odell) of Waverly, TN; grandchildren, Amanda Hite (Randy) of Waverly, TN; Rachel Hight of Jackson, TN and Andrew Poyner of Waverly, TN; great grandchildren; Hayden Hight, William Hight and Carson Poyner.

Along with his parents, Gerald is preceded in death by his brother, Junior Taylor.

A graveside for Mr. Taylor will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Mack’s Grove Church Cemetery in Dresden, TN.
