James "Jimmy" Madison Spradlin

Mr. James "Jimmy" Madison Spradlin, age 79, of McEwen, TN, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020. Mr. Spradlin was born July 13, 1941, in Vanleer, TN, to Edward Rhodes and Georgia Viola Ragan Spradlin. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Waverly. He was a retired Pipefitter with Pipefitters Local Union #498. Mr. Spradlin was a Mason, Shriner, and member of Marshall County Masonic Lodge #209 in Guntersville, AL. He loved spending time with his precious family and fishing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Heart Association, 1818 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203 or The American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203. You may also leave your donations at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen and we will gladly forward them for you. Survivors include: 3 children: David Spradlin, Donna Burns (Greg), and Delinda Elliott (Matthew), all of McEwen, TN 2 sisters: Ada Kate Spradlin and Sue Ray, both of Shelbyville, TN 8 Grandchildren: James, Thomas, Anniston, Gavin, Jonah, Jett, Landin, and Jake Preceded in death by: Wife: Elizabeth "Sissy" Mayberry Spradlin Parents: Edward and Georgia Spradlin Brother: Edward Ragan Spradlin Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, October 7, 2020, from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 11 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN.
