Jerry Wade Long

Mr. Jerry Wade Long, age 75, of McEwen, TN, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at NHC Healthcare in Dickson, TN. Mr. Long was born December 5, 1942, in McEwen, TN, to James Walter and Thelma Hudson Long. He was married to Nancy Joyce Wallace Long for 57 years. He worked for 40 years at E. I. DuPont in New Johnsonville, TN and retired as a Maintenance Supervisor. He also loved being a farmer. Jerry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all who met him. Visitation with the family will be Friday, November 23, 2018, from 4-8 p.m., and Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 9 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen. Bro. Billy Buttrey will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the McEwen Cemetery in McEwen, TN. Active pallbearers will be Cliff Long, Brad Buttrey, Drew Buttrey, Evan Buttrey, Tim Long, Wade Tummins, Ethan Tummins, and Ronnie Stewart.
