Joe Peek

Joe left this world Monday, December 11, 2018. He leaves behind his wife Rebecca of almost 60 years; two sons, Joel (Patricia Call) and Jeffrey (Pamela Ladd); five grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr., Joshua, Jessica, Hunter, and Julia; and two great grandsons, Caiden and Landen.

Joe was a Christian. He believed in the Holy Trinity and eternal life. He was a member of Ellis Grove Presbyterian Church and was a veteran, having served in the Marine Corp.

Joe owned Joe Peek Electric in New Johnsonville for 38 years. After retirement, he devoted his time to his hobbies of raising birds and gardening.

He was one of eleven children born to Vertie and Hattie Peek. Five of which have died from alzheimer's disease.

The family will receive friends and family at Luff Bowen Funeral Home on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 1:00-5:00pm. A private service will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Hospital.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Dominguez, Dr. Mathai and the staff of the Humphrey's County Nursing Home for the care of our loved one received during the last days on this earth.
