Kathleen Murphree Lee

Kathleen Murphree Lee, age 86, of McEwen, TN, passed away on March 11, 2024, at Magnolia Place assisted living in Waverly, TN.  She was born on December 31, 1937, in Bold Springs, TN, to Arthur Floyd Murphree and Ina Wallace Julian. She was married to the late Oliver Lee, Jr. for 62 years and had 2 daughters Sandra and Karen. Kathleen was a long time valued and trusted employee at the Luff-Bowen Furniture Store in Waverly.  She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in McEwen, TN.

 Visitation for Kathleen Murphree Lee will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 5PM to 8PM, and on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 12 PM until the time of service at 1 PM at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen. Bro. Joe Shannon will be officiating the service.   Burial will follow the service at Young Cemetery in McEwen.

 Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters; Sandra Quinones (Miguel), Augusta, GA, and Karen McGuire (Damon), Oakwood, TX, 3 grandchildren; Jenny Winters, Cory McGuire (Heidi), and Megan Berry (Will), and 5 Great Granddaughters; Eva Brown, Emma McGuire, Kate McGuire, Abby McGuire, and Eden McGuire.

 The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Magnolia Place Assisted Living and Tennessee Quality Care Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.

 She is preceded in death by her parents; Arthur Murphree and Ina Wallace Julian, her husband; Oliver Lee, Jr., and her brother; Bucky Murphree.
