Lawrence Wayne Golden

Lawrence Wayne Golden, age 74 of McEwen, TN passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Lawrence was born in Charleston, WV on March 24, 1948, to the late Lawrence and Mildred Coulter Golden. He proudly served his Country for 3 years in the U.S Army. Lawrence was a faithful servant to God as a Pastor for 50 years. He served as the Pastor of Pine Hill Church of the Nazarene in McEwen, TN for 19 years. Lawrence also was the Chaplain of the Humphreys County Jail for 8 years. He also loved farming, playing the banjo and being with his horses. Lawrence will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 51 years, Frances Golden of McEwen, TN; son, David Golden (Faith) of Cheney, WA; daughter, Chantel Pepperd of Cheney, WA; sisters, Jackie Durham (Richard) of Smryna, TN and Jeannie Taylor (Tom) of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Ashlie LeTourneau, Elizabeth Golden, Bradley Golden, Emma Pepperd and Olivia Pepperd; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lawrence is also survived by his border collie, Kenai and cat, Scarlett.

Along with his parents, Lawrence is preceded in death by his brother, Henry Golden and uncle, Hubert Coulter.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 5: 00 P.M. at Pine Hill Church of the Nazarene (5175 White Oak Road McEwen, TN 37101). A visitation will be held prior beginning at 3:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Officiating will be Dr. H. Ray Dunning.
