Leon Hooper, Jr., age 68 of Waverly, TN passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born in Detroit, MI on September 11, 1954 to the late Betty Jean and Leon Hooper, Sr. Leon was an avid Harley Davidson rider. Leon completed The Iron Butt Association and earned many badges. He also was a member of the Harley Davidson Owner Group, HOG Association, Cotton Valley Masonic Lodge #345 and Carpenters Local Union #223. He was a family man and loved his grandchildren dearly.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Stephanie McGahey (Joseph) of Waverly, TN; son, Joshua Lee Hooper of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Kayleigh Marie McGahey and Liam Joseph McGahey; siblings, Cheryl Emerson of VA, Danny Hooper (Cathy) of New Johnsonville, TN and John Hooper (Sharon) of Charlotte, TN; He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Leon is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Hooper.

A graveside service will take place at a later date.
