Lola Willie Cannon George

Lola Willie Cannon George, age 98, of McEwen, TN passed away Monday, June 5, 2023 at NHC of Dickson. She was born on February 3, 1925 in Vernon, TN to the late Lola Beatrice and Willie Washington Cannon.  Lola was the owner and operator of the McEwen Florist Shop for 20 years. She will be remembered by her family as a dedicated, loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sue Lee (James) of McEwen, TN; granddaughter, Susan Hewitt (Mike) of McEwen, TN; great grandson, Isaac Hewitt of McEwen, TN; sisters, Gladys Dunkin of SC and Louise Tidwell (Carlos) of McEwen, TN; brothers, Ernie Cannon (Paula) of McEwen, TN and William Henson (Kerry) of Hendersonville, TN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Lola is preceded in death by her husband, William Bryan George; daughter, Judy Dudley; grandson, Randy Lee; sister, Mary Lou O’Neal; and brothers, Joe Cannon and Eddie Cannon.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at First Free Will Baptist in McEwen beginning at 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 2:00 P.M. Bro. Tony Curtis will officiate the service. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery in Dickson, TN.
