Lorene Harper Curtis

Mrs. Lorene Harper Curtis, age 83, of McEwen, TN, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019, at her home. She was born February 21, 1936, in Lobelville, TN, to Carter Newton Harper and Florence Mae Baker Harper. She was married to Cecil Carnell “C.C.” Curtis. Mrs. Curtis was a homemaker and a member of McEwen church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. Survivors include: 3 Sons: Jimmy Baker, Waverly, TN Gerald Curtis, Dickson, TN Darin Curtis (Sharon), Waverly, TN 1 Daughter: Jackie Potter, McEwen, TN 1 Sister: Martha Bates, Jackson, TN 9 Grandchildren: Johnathan Baker (Laural), Jason Curtis (Trisha), Les Brown, Jamey Curtis (Sharon), Matthew Curtis (Katie), Ayla Cook (Thomas), John Potter (Sarah), Rebecca Potter, and Scott Curtis. 13 Great Grandchildren 1 Great-Great Grandson Preceded in death by: Husband: C. C. Curtis 2 Sons: Terry Curtis Frank Curtis 1 Daughter: Wanda Griffin Grandson: Christopher Baker Parents: Carter and Florence Harper Twin Sister: Florene Scott Brother: Bobby Harper Visitation with the family will be Sunday, December 22, 2019, from 4-8 p.m., and Monday, December 23, 2019, from 9 a.m. until funeral service time at 1:00 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen. Bro. Jim Suddeath and Bro. Hoby Grace will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Gilmer Cemetery in Lobelville, TN.
