Margie Lou Hughes Patterson

Margie Lou Hughes Patterson, age 75 of McEwen, TN passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at St. Thomas Ascension in Nashville, TN. She was born in Houston County, TN on December 3, 1947, to the late Onie Christine Brooks Hughes and Paul Bryant Hughes. Margie was a lifelong member at the McEwen United Methodist Church. She was the Office Manager at Farm Bureau in Dickson, TN for 25 years. Margie loved her grandchildren dearly. She also enjoyed shopping, cooking and talking to others. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 55 years, Larry Patterson of McEwen, TN; daughter, Shellie Williams (Mark) of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Lily Watson and Baine Williams; sisters, Peggy Hughes Eads of Ashland City, TN and Carol Hughes Lowe (Rodney) of Erin, TN; nieces, Ginger Lyle, Bethany Wiseman, Gina McMillan, and Kim Evans; nephews, Joey Eads and Billy Hughes.

Along with her parents, Margie is preceded in death by her infant son, Brian Patterson; infant daughter, Crystal Patterson; sister, Frances Olean Hughes and brother, Billy Jim Hughes.

A visitation for Mrs. Margie will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at McEwen United Methodist Church (146 Church Street, McEwen, TN 37101) beginning at 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M. Officiating the service will be Bro. Bernie Harris. Interment to follow at McEwen Cemetery in McEwen, TN. Pallbearers will be Billy Hughes, Carl Evans, Joey Eads, Jarrod Lyle, Tyler McMillan and Mike McMillan.
