Myrna Earline Baker

Mrs. Myrna Earline Baker, age 85 of New Johnsonville, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023 at her home. She was born August 21, 1937 in Perry County to the late Charles Horace Sanders and Mattie Long McCaig Sanders. Myrna married Alfred Baker and they had five sons, James, Johnny, Charles, Jeffery and Brian. She worked as a machine operator for H.I.S. in Camden, TN  and attended Grace Chapel Church. Myrna also frequented the Torrey Johnson Senior Citizens Center in Waverly often. The Senior Citizens center gave her rich friendships and brought her so much happiness. She also loved fishing, mowing, her flower gardens, watching the Game Show Network, and her hummingbirds.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Brian Baker (Nicole) of New Johnsonville, TN and Charles Baker (Sharon Schultz) of New Johnsonville, TN; one brother Delbert Sanders (Diane) of Lobelville, TN;and one sister, Sue Turner of New Johnsonville, TN.

She also leaves grandchildren, Johnny Ray Baker, Jr., Mary Beth Baker, Hope Baker, Courtney Baker, Kayla Seller (Scott), Danielle McBride (Matthew), Heather Malone Holmes (Jake), Alaina Malone Chappell (Drew), Elizabeth Baker, Tiera Carrington, Matthew Carrington, Austin Carrington, Drake Carrington, Alan Trevino and Teya Trevino; ten great grandchildren, Karma Rani Melton, McKenzie Holmes, Dixie Green, Zoey Seller, Siles Seller, Isabelle Saby, Drake Chappell, Isabella Chappell, Gracie Carrington and Grayson Carrington.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Horace and Mattie Sanders; her husband, Alfred Baker, her three sons, James Baker, Johnny Baker, Jeffery Baker;her daughter-in-law, Anita May Baker; two brothers, Walter Sanders and Herman Sanders, two sisters, Mattie "Charlie" Buchanan and Faye Sanders.

Visitation for Myrna Baker will be Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and on Monday, February 27th from 9:00AM until service time beginning at 1:00PM. Bro. Dale Caudle will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Northern Cemetery in Perry County.
