Rexie Wayne Fortner

Mr. Rexie Wayne Fortner, age 85 of Waverly, TN, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.  Mr. Fortner was born on September 30, 1934, in Hustburg, Tennessee to Robert and Irene Jones Fortner.  He was a retired Foreman for Consolidated Aluminum Corp. and also a retired truck driver for the Humphreys County Highway Department.  He was married to Mrs. Kathryn Hollingsworth Fortner, the love of his life for 63 Years.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He was a Deacon and a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Camden, TN.

Kevin Fortner (Lisa), Mitchell, IN

9 Grandchildren: Chelsea Fortner, Haylie Fortner, Hope Fortner, Tiffany Fortner, Zachary Fortner, Charity Fortner, Allison Fortner, Madison Fortner, and Devin Fortner.

He is preceded in death by his grandson: Matthew Raymond Wayne Fortner

Parents: Robert and Irene Fortner.

Visitation for Mr. Wayne Fortner will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN, from  12:00 PM until time of service at 3:00 PM. Officiated by Rev. Nathan Horton.  Interment will be at Ebenezer Cemetery in New Johnsonville, TN.
