Richard Lee Rains

Richard Lee Rains, age 77, peacefully met Jesus on July 19, 2020, surrounded by family.  Richard was born on December 12, 1942, in Zwolle, Louisiana. Richard was a very caring man who loved the Lord.  He would preach the gospel to anyone that would listen.  He loved to knock on doors for hours to win souls for Christ.  He was a Pastor for over 50 years.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Lorene (Wood) Rains and his brothers, Ike and twin Mickey.

He is survived by his siblings: Dave Hancock and Lana Westfall.

His Children: April Elliott (Carlos), Darla Tuch, Bryan (Nicole) Rains, Clark (Vella) Rains and Curtis Rains.  

His Grandchildren: Chris, Timmy, Nathan, Jeremiah, Maraih, Josiah, Keelan, Kylie, Zachary, Tori, Bishop, Gabby, Raphael, Kira, Christian, Kayla, and Jacob, as well as several great grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life, Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 3:30 PM at the Hurricane Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Farris officiating.  Interment will follow at McEwen Cemetery.
