Rita Diane Summers Watts

Rita Diane Summers Watts, age 72 of Lyles, TN passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023. Rita was born on September 8, 1950, in Waverly, TN to the late Georgia and Cornelius Summers. She enjoyed cooking for the holidays with her sister and was very funny. Rita was devoted to her family. She was the glue that held everything together.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Phillip Dewayne Dotson, Greg Stinson and Angela Stinson; grandchildren, Stephanie Brown, Andrew Brown, Bethany Stinson, Skylar Stinson, Brittany Lovett (Bradley), Alex Bussell and Austin “Gage” Bussell; great grandchildren, Peyton Jackson, Olivia Jackson, Lakota Jackson, Dalton Lovett, Levi Lovett, C.J. Stinson, Emmalyn Bussell and one great grandchild on the way; sisters, Clatie Hicks and Jane McKinney; Rita is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.

Along with her parents, Rita is preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Darlene Brown; great granddaughter, Sydney Jackson; brothers, Melvin Summers, Leroy Yates, Marvin Summers, Russell Summers, and Ronald Summers; sisters, Agnes Spears, Mary Watkins, and Avis Buchanan; and great nephew, Tate Thorson.
