Robert "Bob" Lawrence Hatcher

Mr. Robert “Bob” Lawrence Hatcher, age 84, of McEwen, TN, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at his home. Robert (Bob, Dad, PaPaw) was born at home in Hatcher Hollow in McEwen, TN, to Dorsey and Ruth Parker Hatcher. A graduate of McEwen High School, he worked nights for Third National Bank in Nashville while attending Vanderbilt University, where he graduated in 1960. During his sophomore year, he met his wife, Donna, and they were married for 63 years. Robert worked as an Electricial Engineer for TVA and then Ratheon. After retirement, he and Donna traveled, joining The Extra Miles Club and picking up counties in other states. They worked at a flea market in Dickson for twenty-five years. Robert was preceded in death by his parents: Dorsey and Ruth Hatcher, as well as 11 siblings: Bethel, Hazel, Ruby, Polly, Raymond, Clifford, Sarah, Richard, Virginia, James, and John. He is survived by siblings, Edwin Hatcher (Dolene), Butch Hatcher (Brenda), Cookie Hatcher, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his wife: Donna Marie Mason Hatcher, 4 children: Julie, Sherrie (Bill), Becky, and Emily (Jamie), 9 grandchildren whom he loved a lot: Jamie (Kathryn), Rachael, Jennifer (Jake), Natalie, Bradley (Dalyn), Olivia, Brittany, Daniel, and Brianna, as well as 10 great grandchildren: Davin, Jimmy, Noah, Vivian, Luke, Leo, Hallie, Nate, Abby, and Taylor. Visitation with the family will be Friday, April 8, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 2:00 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN. Rev. David Deavers will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the McEwen Cemetery in McEwen, TN.
