Shelia Faye Stanfill

Shelia Faye Stanfill, age 67 of Waverly, TN passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Humphreys County Nursing Home. Shelia was born on July 27, 1955 in Nashville, TN to the late James and Sarah DeMoss. Shelia was a Christian woman who found her passion in the medical field. She was a LPN for 30 years.  She loved to spend time and cook with her family, especially her grandchildren. Shelia will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.

Left to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Jason Herndon ( Misty) of Portland, TX and Jeremy Herndon (Mary Beth) of Waverly, TN; 1 brother, Larry DeMoss of Waverly, TN; 4 sisters, Katherine  Beasley of Smyrna, TN, Barbara Hicks of Waverly, TN, Lisa DeMoss of Dickson, TN and Sandy DeMoss of Dickson, TN; 3 granddaughters, Katie Herndon, Adia Faye Herndon and Kourtney Arnold; 4 grandsons, Kaleb Herndon (Brianna), Braden Herndon, Peyton Herndon and James Herndon; 2 great granddaughters, Jaycee Grace Herndon and Hannah Faith Herndon.

Along with her parents, Shelia is preceded in death by brother, Jimmy “Bubba” DeMoss and sister, Mary Ellen “Pug” DeMoss.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Luff-Bowen in Waverly, TN. A visitation will be held prior beginning at 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Officiating will be Pastor Scott Worley.
