Mrs. Virginia Faye Ethridge Hemby, age 86, of Waverly, TN, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the Humphreys County Nursing Home in Waverly, TN. Mrs. Hemby was born October 8, 1932, in McEwen, TN, to George William Dempsey Ethridge and Evie Lee Gilbert Ethridge. She was married to Robert L. Hemby. She was a member of Ellis Grove Presbyterian Church in Waverly. Mrs. Hemby was a retired Boot Maker for Acme Boot Company in Waverly. Visitation with the family will be Friday, March 15, 2019, from 4-8 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. All services on Saturday, March 16, 2019, will be at the Ellis Grove Presbyterian Church in Waverly with visitation at 1 p.m. until funeral service time at 3 p.m.  Rev. John Smith will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Hemby Cemetery in Waverly, TN.
