Phoebe Luff-Bowen Barker

Comfort Companion

Phoebe is Luff-Bowen Funeral Home’s Comfort K-9.

Phoebe wakes up every day eager to go work. She comforts mourning families while they grieve. In the saddest time of their lives, she brings a smile to the broken hearted and comforts them. God gives everyone and everything a purpose in life and Phoebe’s purpose is to love. On any given day you will find her at the front doors waiting to greet you or following her favorite person, Beth Robbins.

When she isn’t comforting families, she supervises the staff of Luff-Bowen and Richlawn Crematory in their daily operations and happily assists everyone during their lunch break. She likes to go on car rides and enjoys walking up the Richlawn Cemetery hill with Beth Robbins but prefers to be carried the rest of the way back. Her favorite time of day is when Jess “Cooter” Bowen III arrives because he shares his beef jerky, and he buys the good treats!

Phoebe is available to share snuggles and love every day of the week even to those who aren’t mourning.

She was rescued several years ago from the Waverly Animal Shelter by one of the veterinarian technicians of Waverly Animal Clinic and then re-homed with Funeral Director, Lindsey Barker.
